Everyone feels sad sometimes, just like everyone else, feel joyful, angry, proud and plenty of other emotions. Everyone has feelings, and those feelings are always changing. Sadness is a natural human emotion. How sad you feel can depend on the situation that’s causing you to have the sadness and how you’re coping with it, like a quote said “Tears come from the heart and not from the brain”Some sad feelings last only a moment, some last longer, it depends, but when sad feelings go away, the happiness will take back their place in you. Sad feelings can’t take over your mood or ruin your day. You can do things to help yourself feel better by take action or think about what you want to do to make yourself happy. Here are some positive ways make yourself better when you having sadness put yourself in a good mode, get support and be positive.
Put yourself in a good mood: Do everything that you like to do, for example, playing video games or sport, riding a bike, dancing, running, taking a walk, drawing, listening to music, reading, spending your precious time with the people who can make you feel happy, or even laugh out loud by yourself! Even when you’re sad, think of the good things about yourself, think about what you want to do on your holidays…etc. In the article called “YOU CAN BUY HAPPINESS, IF IT’S AN EXPERIENCE”, stated that “people gain more joy from the experiences they purchase than the products or go to a ski trip with friend or family will make you achieve happiness, according to a study published Tuesday in Psychological Science.” So if you just think about things that you want to do, happiness will replace your sadness. Remember that you have your own choice to do things that you like in order to get away from your sadness.
Get support: Everyone needs support when they feel down, no matter you’re kid or adults, you always need support. The people in your life who believe in you and who care about you (like parents, best friends, and teachers) can comfort you when you feel sad. They can help you work out a problem or help you think of happier things to get your mind off sadness. The sadness is in your mind, and if you tell this to someone you close with it might help you release your stress from your brain. Share your story to someone you close with so they can share their care and love about you because Love has powerful healing properties to make people feel better.
Even if you’re sad, think of good things about yourself or your situation. Believe in yourself, keep thinking that everyone always makes mistakes and it can lead us to have the sadness. Think about what you can do and how things can get better. If you didn’t get something you wanted, think of something else that can make you happy. There’s always something interesting for you to look for it! Like a quote from Brainyquote, it stated “Belief in yourself, take on your challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. Never let anyone bring you down. You got to keep going” Just think, positive and believe in yourself so no one will bring you down.
Maybe being really sad helps us fully appreciate the real things in life. Don’t judge yourself for crying or feeling down. Just getaways of being sad, and then get back to the sweetness. Take out the sadness of your mind by doing things that you want independently and confidently. Learning to deal with sad feelings if you don’t want your day to be worst, be positive and believe in yourself to make you happy.
This round we focus on Python programming and the lesson that we learned this round is Function, List and Dictionary. In this class, we have been focusing on python a lot but It really hard for me to learn because python use it owns language to write code, but I don’t give up I try to ask the question and even though research so I can understand about more python language. In this class, we using trinket.io to write python code and we use Codeclub to work on python challenge and learn by following the steps of the instruction that Code club had written for us. Nowadays, I got stuck a lot but I am doing great because as a programmer, always get the error so we just need to figure out other ways to get it right. We do have a lot of things.
Humans of Cambodia is the exploration that getting people life story and to do that we interview a lot of people. Their story isn’t simple we ask them the question about the sadness or happiness other question about their life that can express their feeling to other people to feel like them. We also take pictures of them and write a description about their story and post it in our blog. I have been interview a lot of people but not all of them will share their story because of it their personal. I did learn a lot about writing people story into a short description that can describe everythings, edit pictures for the blog and the skill of approach people to feel comfortable to share their story.
This exploration has to go out a lot because we need to go and interview people in different places because we want to get different lifestyle and different story that we can get. I can see that different places that we go we can get a lot of differents story. I feel like people who live in the place that doesn’t develop they love to share their story to us to remembers how hard is their life but for those who live in the develop place their doesn’t seem open and they always igneous and say “I’m busy now”. Only a few people who live in the develop places wanted to share because they also have a hard time for the past until they get rich nowadays.
I really love this exploration because I love to listen to people story and I assume that people will understand each other well, of their past and their story. And at the end, our team had made a blog that contain all the people story that we got.
In math class this round we focus a lot on the percentage which is an important lesson for our daily life. In real life, you can find the percentage when there a discount in some store like the price is $56 and the discount is 40% $22.4. In mathematics, a percentage is a number or ratio that represents a fraction of 100. It is symbol by “%” and we can simply as “percent” or fraction. 50% is equivalent to the decimal 0.5, and the fraction is 1/2. We do have a lot of fun is this class because we always do activities, working in the team, playing Kahoot or Quizzes which is students favorite website to review what we have learned.
This term we are excited to spend time in STEM class. We got a new schedule for stem which Monday is reading day, Tuesday is the experiment, question or research more, Thursday is my favorite because we got to do the experiment or play quizzes or kahoot which is everyone favorite things to do, and Friday is the quiz day. The lessons we have learned is Acid and Bas. A special property of acids and bases is their ability to neutralize the other’s properties. So their both are nearly in everything that we use everyday life such as, toothpaste, lemons tea, vinegar, soup, and other many more things. We also did an experiment with acid and bases and the reaction was really cool because the reaction was changing the color, temperature, and its shapes. My team was facing a problem because we were read the instruction but we did it differently because we were confusing so it gives us the wrong result. It was the small experiment so it doesn’t explode but if we did the bigger one we may get hurt, so it my experience that I should follow the step carefully. The coldest reaction is when we take lemon juice mix with bleach cup and it starts to have a lot of bubbles and its flows to the top and when I try to feel the temperature it was very cold.
I have been changed that I can put myself in any situation and with no complaint about everything that I have or everything that I take. For the past, I always complain when I did get tired but now I always put myself in any position so everything I do it will be easy to take the risk. Outdoor leadership to me is to help people, to survive in the wood, to be brave… It the word that shows who I am because I go to show what I can do and my behavior.I wanted Cambodia people to do more trekking so they will explore more things in nature but trekking for Cambodia people is riding a car so I want to change their hobby to walk in the forest or try to camp cause they don’t think about nature a lot. But the question is how? I probably thinking if there a place that lets people stay there and camp so Cambodian people can go there easily. Example អន្លង់ភ្ញៀវ was famous by people who go there post the pictures of that place on Facebook, so when their friends see it look cool and fun they probably gonna go there. So if there a place to camp, making fire… in the wood maybe if someone goes there and they had a lot of fun they gonna call there friend, so there will be more people go there and there.
The trip to Mondolkiri and Kirirom
Mondolkiri and Kampong Spue which know as the province that had a lot of wild animals, forest and indegenouis people. What we did in Mondolkiri and in Kampong Speu is nearly the same just something that is different is when we go to Mondolkiri we were cooking food in the forest and the food was a traditional Pnong food which is so delicious. In Mondulkiri, we were sleeping in RDI which is Non-governmental organization and RDI is NGO that does the cleaning water in Cambodia and in Kirirom national park we were sleeping in the heaven cliff and Sros Srong which are two different places. Totally I had trekked for more than 60 km and more than 60,000 steps which is so tired because we need to walk up and down the mountain but no one was complaining about this, we all just try our best to get to the targets.
We learn how to cook Phnong food from our guide, it the food that cooks in the bamboo because in the forest we can’t bring the pot so we use the bamboo instead. We also see a lot of animals, cool plants, insect such as Elephant, lizard, birds… On the trip, we did a lot of sit and spot which is we spot something to write about or create a poem, for me I wrote how nature make my mind clear “Breathing the fresh air, looking at green leave hearing the sound of the animals, waterfall, air and leave make me feel like I am at the heaven. All the depression inside my head has blown away, all the tired and stress has release out of my brain,
After finish 5a book we start learning and doing Math 5b book which is similar to that old book it just added new things to learn like data analysis and algebra. The first lesson that we did is review the last lesson that we learn. In technology class, we had learned about python which is an interpreted, high-level, general-purpose programming language. It is a stressful lesson because of it my first time learning to write code with python. I always get stress because of the error line that I wrote but I know that coder always gets the error so it is our experience. We use Code academy to practice and use the code board to do exercise and homework. The quiz or exercise helps me a lot to know more about python language which I can improve more and more.
